This project renovated existing lab and office
space on three floors to create instructional labs and lab suites for photonics researchers.
Associated support spaces and corridors were also upgraded to new building standards.
The undergraduate instructional lab was divided into two separate bench areas with a shared
fume hood room between them. Research labs are wet labs with flexible space for future equipment needs.
Major infrastructure work was included and new light monitors added to provide daylight to
labs without windows.
