Situated on the shore of Lake Washington, this LEED Platinum targeted home is being designed to incorporate sustainable materials and building practices.  With expansive glazing on the west façade highlighting views of Lake Washington, overhangs and sun shading are being incorporated to reduce the thermal heat gains.  The client requested a very modern house with clean lines and adequate space for entertaining.  The basement and main level have been designed as the entertaining floors of the house with large expanses of operable wall that open to the outdoors.  The second floor contains a master suite, a gym and an office with an eastern facing deck.  The relationship of the site with the house was carefully developed to blur the distinction between the interior and exterior spaces.
